Mission Statement and Core Values for Troutman

Troutman Mission Statement
The Town’s monthly informational newsletter was first mailed out to water bill customers on July 31, 2012.  The October 2012 issue featured a contest to name the newsletter and the name selected by the Town Council was “The Whistle Stop.” The name was submitted by Jo Powell Boggs, daughter of Loren Powell who served as mayor of Troutman for 28 years. Mr. Powell also drew the town seal which is still in use today as well as this picture of the old depot. The Whistle Stop pays homage to Troutman’s railroad days.

Core Values
In “The Whistle Stop” you will find information regarding Council briefs of the previous month’s Town Council meeting, leaf and limb schedules, trash and recycling pickup schedules, upcoming Town events, items of interest concerning new employees, Town sponsored events, etc. If you or your organization would be interested in publishing something in our newsletter, please submit via email to [email protected] or stop by Town Hall.
