Troutman Independence Day Parade: June 28, 2025

Enjoy an old-fashioned, small-town parade. Help us celebrate our country's independence by viewing or participating in this totally free event with over 150 units in the parade including floats, music, marching units, church groups, civic organizations, scout troops, motorcycles, military units, horses, submarines, classic and antique cars, fire engines, beauty queens, re-enactment groups, politicians, WWII vehicles, trains, planes, and many more surprises. 2025 Grand Marshal: TBD

The following information is provided to assist you on the day of the parade:

1. We ask that you be at the staging area located at the Iredell County Fairgrounds, no later than 10:00 am the morning of the event.
2. Parade starts at 11:00 am
3. The parade will travel down Hwy 21/Main St, and end at the American Legion/ Troutman Elementary School area at Cedar Lane.

Public parking options are Troutman Town Hall, the new gravel lot next door, Troutman ESC Park, and the Downtown Wagner St lot.

The Downtown Depot lot will be our Limited Mobility Parking Lot. There will be signs throughout the lot.

Road closures will take place at 10:40am and will reopen as soon as the parade passes through.

Main Street will be closed from Barium Lane to Perry Road

Murdock Rd/Old Mountain Rd will be closed from Old Murdock Rd to Barium Lane

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. This is a free event for everyone to attend.

Are you WICKED FAST? Join us for our annual festive, family-friendly 5K on 10/11/25 at 6pm along the Richardson Greenway in Troutman, NC. Wear your best costume and enjoy the fun spirit of Halloween! This is a walk or run event. All fitness levels are welcome!

LOCATION: 137 S. Main St. (Downtown Depot- start location)

RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Begins at 4:30pm (Not guaranteed a shirt if registering on race day. Must register by 9/26 to be guaranteed a shirt)

PACKET PICK UP: Friday, 10/10/25 at Troutman Parks & Rec Office from 12:00-6:00pm or on race day, starting at 4:30pm

COURSE INFO: This flat course will begin at the Downtown Depot and run the length of Eastway Dr. and the Richardson Greenway to Grannis Lane, turn around, and come straight back for a 5K distance. All participants will be provided with a glow bracelet for visibility. A water station will be provided at the halfway marker. Restrooms will be provided at the start/finish line.

EVENT POLICIES: The race runs rain or shine. Registration fees are non-refundable; Bib numbers must be worn by the registrant to whom they have been assigned; Race bibs must be clearly visible. On the greenway, please stay to the right at all times. Dogs must be on a leash.

Trails & Treats Vendors Needed– Dear Businesses and Non-Profit Organizations. We need you to help make the Trails and Treats event a success. Trails and Treats is a safe, family-friendly environment for trick or treating on October 31 from 4:00-6:00 pm on the paved trail within Troutman ESC Park. We strive to make participation in the event easy:

How to Participate as a Vendor:

1. To Register as a Participating Business: email [email protected] or enter your information HERE

2. Let everyone know who you are on the day of the event. Suggestions include promoting your business or organization with a poster, taping business cards to treats, and/or having candy labeled with your business or organization’s name;

3. Bring candy and/or treats (stickers, pens, balls, toys, novelties) for at least 2000 children. Sales are not allowed, this is a free event.

4. Have fun! Consider wearing costumes, setting up a spooky display, performing a trick, etc. Give yourself plenty of time to set up (event begins at 4:00 pm, set up any time after 1 pm). Tables and chairs are not provided.

Saturday, December 6th @ 11am in Troutman. The parade travels down Old Murdock Rd to Eastway Drive and ends at Troutman Baptist Church, like in years past.

If interested in participating as an entry, click the link and submit your information. Free to participate! In lieu of an entry fee, we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program. They are in need of toys for all ages of children and usually have more difficulty getting toys for children 12 years and up. We will have a trailer for the toys travel behind Santa in the parade. We are also going to ask parade spectators to donate as the trailer comes by them on the parade route! Please bring toys to the parade and give them to those with the trailer or bring them to Troutman Parks & Rec or Town Hall anytime between now and December 6. Please consider supporting Toys for Tots!

The Town of Troutman Jingle Run 5k is festive and family-friendly! The run takes place on Sunday, December 14, 2025 @ 3pm and will run through the Town of Troutman, starting at Troutman Town Hall (400 N. Eastway Dr.) This is an officially timed race by McLelland Racing Team (MRT). Register at www.runsignup.com/jinglerun5k. Cost: $30/person. This includes a finishers' medal and t-shirt.
